Retro Roadhusband and I made perfect time to NYC last night for the John Margolies book signing. Such perfect timing in fact that we scored a free on street parking space within 10 feet of the Taschen entrance!
What a swell time I had meeting up with and chatting with fellow roadside enthusiast Susan Levinson, whom I’d only exchanged emails with before. We hit it off immediately and I was impressed with her collection of “Margolies-abilia” that she brought, and John was kind enough to sign.
I did my part to help the economy and purchased my book, and John was gracious enough to sign it. Trying to get better at spreading the “Retro Roadword” I handed him my business card- check me out!
I haven’t had a moment to give more than a quick glance to the book and can’t wait to nestle down with it and pore over it! Glad we made the effort to make the trip to the city. Good folks, good photos- that’s what it’s all about!
