I figured “Record Store Day” would be a perfect time to visit Stan’s Records in Lancaster PA, snap a photo of this cool vintage sign that I’ve admired for years, and buy something in the shop.
Dang it all when I called to inquire about the hours and was told that there was an emergency and that the store would not be open – on Record Store Day! If you happen to be in the area let me know if you find any vinyl treasures at Stan’s, and tell ‘em how cool their sign is and not to change it. Thanks!

I use to buy records there when I was in high school! I thought I was so damn cool! A lot of the other record shops from my youth have closed down

I know what you mean Mary D- I was actually afraid Stan’s was closed when I drove by, glad it was just for the day. And how cool that I could go around the corner to Mr. Suit to buy something for Record Store Day! Glad that people are again beginning to appreciate records.
