Closed for the season when we drove by on a Saturday morning, Bill’s Belmont Drive In in Belmont  NC has been providing the greater Charlotte area with that classic summer drive in movie experience for over 50 years.

  1. As of May 5, 2011, it’s still not open for the seaon. I hope that the family finds a way to keep it open. They rely on concession stand sales but the line is always so damn long! They could add two concession trailers and sell 2 or 3 times as much snacks. Good luck to them. It’s the best family entertainment value is Gaston County.

    • Thanks for keeping us posted Tom – please let us know if they do open or not. Some of the Drive Ins are already open here in Pennsylvania, so I hope they’re just delayed, and not closed for good!
