Retro Roadhusband and I were making such good time to the airport that we had time for a cheeseburger and crinkle cut fries at the White Rose System. They close at 3 so we just made it.
(that’s Retro Roadhusband on the entrance and his Jersey Burger w Taylor Pork roll. He said it reminded him of a Double R Bar Burger, which is high praise in his book!)
Speaking of books we just missed George Motz of Hamburger America fame by a day or two – great minds eat alike!

Is that first photo a Polaroid? Regardless, that burger looks YUMMY! This is going on my list for the next time I’m up that way.
Jason- I was trying to be all fancy pantsy and used Instagram to make the photo look a little more interesting. Glad we’ve been able to bring the place to your attention and that you’ll stop by the next time you’re around. That’s what we’re here for
Sorry for taking so long to respond, but!!! Our fish is fresh whiting, delivered every week. We have been making grits here forever. What could be better than a southern dish with northern flair?
