Hello From San Francisco! A Retro Roadmap Virtual Post Card

Dear Readers,
We hit the ground running yesterday in San Francisco, with stops at the real crookedest street, some fab food at a renovated soda fountain, a snapshot at The Golden Gate Bridge, and a driving tour past all sorts of cool vintage signs that I tried to snap photos from the window of the car:

We finished off the day with some great tiki cocktail  and a show at the famed Fillmore. Let’s see what today brings!

Weather has been wonderful Hope all is well back home-

Glad you’re have a retro road-worthy time, Betty. Where next? Any idea? I have not been to Cali, so it’s of the like 5 continental states I have not travelled to/thru or stayed overnight in. You and Cliff, sorry Road Hubby, have travelled to them all?

We have not been to all 50 states but its a goal I’m working towards – for the site and my own “bucket list”! Retro Roadhusband has been to / through a lot more of ’em because of being a rock and roll touring guy, but I want to make sure we both get to all of ’em together. I’ll have to count up to see how many we have to go!

I lack Montana, Vermont, California, Louisiana, and North Dakota. Ironically, I have never left the US yet. I lived in Seattle for a short time and should have taken a ferry to BC when I was there.

I have toyed with the idea of living in London for a year or so. Rent my condo to help defray the costs of living there. There are lots of people willing to rent rooms via the internet. I wish I knew the ex-pat job market was good there. Thought about about 4 years too late, I suppose. 🙂

There do seem to be some opportunities to swap rooms with people, but we’ve got too much “stuff” around our place to have anyone we don’t know come and stay. If you do it let me know how it goes!
