  • Hey, Beth, it’s Kelly, from MySpace and Blobfest! Thanks for the shout out about OHANA! I’m organizing the silent auction and we’ll be hosting a room crawl room. I hope we’ll see you there!

Lake George, one of my all-time favorite places in the whole world!

    • modbetty

We’re hoping to check it out this summer, any excuse for a Retro Roadmap roadtrip!

  • Jeff Davis

While in Lake George, don’t forget to eat at the Howard Johnson’s restaurant. Can’t miss the orange roof on State Route 9, on the south end of town. It’s still the real deal, with everything Hojo. Open full time until Labor Day, weekends only after that until it closes for the season in October. A real retro trip. Also, visit the one in Lake Placid too. Open all year (and hopefully for many more).

I am a big fan of HoJo’s and loved it when I moved to Delaware and there were still 3 of them. Now there are none, but the old location on 202 still serves the clam strips, so I go there on occasions when I need a fried rubber band fix. Can’t wait to check out Lake George- totally on my Retro Roadtrip destination list. Thanks for all the good info Jeff!!

  • Tiki Kiki

We’ll take some pictures! I am in search of retro googie!!!

    • I knew I could coult on you and Fang! Wish I was going to be there, but will live vicariously through you all!
