I knew this was happening! We visited Emerson last year. My daughter is planning to apply there and we took her to see it and as much of Boston as we could fit into one day! This THRILLS ME to see an old beautiful theatre brought back to life!!!

LRD- You’ll appreciate it that the class I did the project for was at FSC, so I had to take the bus at the bottom of the hill all the time into the city to do my research! I know I’ve got the paper around here somewhere still, and I just sent off a bunch of slides to get digitized. How the heck was that 25 years ago?!

I recall seeing “Where Eagles Dare” back in the late 1960’s with my cousin Paul DelVecchio at the Paramount.

Very cool Larry- I know my dad saw some show at The Paramount when he was young, and I want to say it might’ve been Lewis & Martin. Unfortunately his memory isn’t the best nowadays so I can’t confirm, but glad folks were able to enjoy it before, and now after!

Check out the Kent theater in Cedar Springs, Michigan. It takes your breath away; when you walk in you have gone back 80 years. http://www.kenttheatre.org/

Marcia, thanks for the link – it looks like a great place! If you have some current photos of the place and any info you’d like to share about the theatre send ’em my way and I’ll put it on the map- it would be GREAT for it to be our first Michigan entry onto the map!
