Hey Betty, that place was AWESOME! Did you happen to see those round ice cream parlor type tables in there? My friend and I were going to buy one, but they were $450 each! EEK! Guess not anytime soon. Oh well. I did purchase a chrome with red stripes base to an old diner stool. Hmmm…not sure what I’m going to do with it yet…vase? lamp? stick it in a corner? LOL It was so great meeting you and Roadhusband! And everyone else, too!

so glad you liked it – isn’t it a fascinating place? I did not see the ice cream parlor tables but I know they get new old stuff in all the time. Totally out of my price range too, which makes RetroRoadhusband happy/ So glad you showed up at the meet-up and discovered some cool corners of Scranton!

To answer your question Hannah Hicks is listed in the 1861 Ontario Canada Census as having been born 2/20/1827 and her date of death is recorded as 1/20/1889. The other side of the missing stained glass plate would have provided that information for historical purposes. : ) Robin
