December 15, 2009 SAD UPDATE- I’m bummed out to report that when driving home from Reading last night I noticed that both of these cool signs had been taken down, replaced with a small generic white sign. I’m going to leave this post up here as an homage to these funky guys. Goodbye crooked E!
We don’t get a lot of cool signs in these parts, so when we do they stand out gloriously on the roadside. I’ve driven past these bookends many times while heading to Reading on Route 422 but they are on the southbound side and it’s a divided highway, and usually it’s too late on the way home to snap a photo.
Yesterday I was able to finally snap a photo just before the sun dropped. I think I have a crush on that wonderfully crooked E!
