We had an absolutely wonderful weekend with the Retro Roadfamily up in Massachusetts for the weekend. I’ll be expanding more on some of the neat vintage places we visited but for now here’s a few snapshots to whet your appetite! A Vintage Worcester Diner, A Cool Old Drive In Movie Theater Sign, A Beautifully Renovated Train Station, Easter Treats From A Candy Mansion- who could ask for anything more?!

The Edgemere sign is awesome and the Miss Worchester makes me long for the clanking and clanging sounds that accompany diner dining 🙂

April 7, 2010 at 12:14 pmI grew up in Massachusetts, and I can vouch for the surprises of Worcester. In general, Western Mass. is more fertile than Eastern, and around Boston the North Shore is better than the South.
Can’t wait to see the rest!

April 8, 2010 at 5:52 amI too grew up in MA and pretty much agree with your dissection of the Bay State- since the Retro Roadfam lives SOB we tend to do a lot of south things, and there are many hidden gems, but it’s always nice to go “sploring” in the other areas. I was going to say counties, like they do here in PA but I do recall we never really paid much attention to counties in Mass!
