Ritz Lyric Theater and Wikle Rexall – Downtown Anniston, AL Vintage Photo Ops

Sometimes it takes driving down a wrong street to discover a great vintage photo op – like the Ritz (once Lyric) Theatre in Anniston AL.

Check out this great ghost sign! Vaudeville on the Keith circuit anyone?

Opened in 1925 and long since closed, it has been on  the National Register of Historic Places since 1980.You can read the history and see photos of the Lyric Theatre here at Cinema Treasures.

Or how about appreciating this fabulous old drug store facade, replete with Rexall Drugs sign? Though it’s been closed for years the Wikle Rexall drug store is on the National Register of Historic Places since 1985.
