Dear Retro Roadmap Readers –
Mod B is busy with holiday shopping but could not resist dropping a quick “virtual postcard” from the road. I’m at Josh Early Candies in Allentown, PA.
While I’m really here waiting for some nice folks to deliver a swell MCM lamp, I wasn’t about to just stay in the parking lot, and went inside to buy a few delicious treats! The place was abuzz with shoppers getting their chocolates and taffies ready for gifting or eating.
Local pals have suggested this place to me before and I’m so glad it was a handy meeting place. Opened in 1938 this location has been handily accessible from the highway since the mid 1980s.
