Want to get a cheeseburger with a history? For those of us of a certain age, the phrase "Cheeseborger, Cheeseborger!" will bring back silly memories of Saturday Night Live, but the skit was based on a real place - the Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago!

While it officially opened in 1934, it did not move to its current "Subterranean" location until the mid 1960s.

Of COURSE we had to a cheesburger! Classic. I was not hungry at all, and I got an unexpected cookie!

There are other things on the menu too.

You can get beer here, they're open 8am to 2am every day and there's even a happy hour. Just a short walk from 3 Dots and a Dash in case you need something to soak up those tiki drinks (not that I'm speaking from experience, that is...!)

Places like this are becoming more and more rare in every town in the country, so when in Chicago, get a cheeseborger!
