The Hi-Lo Diner in Minneapolis MN is an authentic vintage diner, built in 1957 by the Fodero dining car company of Bloomfield, NJ.
Originally opened in Gibsonia Pennsylvania as the Venus diner, in 2016 it was moved to Minneapolis, and happily replaced a closed chain restaurant.
We had the happy chance to dine there one chilly evening and recommend this cute lil diner! Our host was delightful, as was the waitstaff, and our "hipped up diner fare" included a Hi-Top ( Fried pastry dough topped with fried chicken and bourbon maple syrup) and a Minnesota Roll - a gigantic pickle covered with cream cheese, wrapped in meat. I mean c'mon, do you think we were gonna get just regular food? They've got a full bar in case you want to drink and dine.
They've got some fun stuff for merch (stocking caps, hoodies) so don't forget to get your souvenirs here!
