Mod Betty isn't the only internet hepcat who digs a retro roadtrip! Thanks to our online mid century modern pal Mr. ModTomic for letting us sit in the back seat and tag along on his vintage travel tour of the US.
Some fun shots of vintage signs and random retro goodness found along the way- some of the great stuff you see when you take the back roads instead of the highway.
So even though it's supposed to rain this entire week here at Retro Roadmap HQ, remember what Mr. ModTomic says, "Summer's not really over, get out and put some miles on your car. See America!"
We all know the song, “Get your kicks on Route 66”, but there are so many miles of “scenic byway” out there that one needn’t travel too far to find your own amazing roadside discoveries. You don’t need to take a week off or even go during the summer, any weekend morning is a good enough excuse! Just don’t forget to take your camera! What you find, sadly, might not be there the next time.
