Talk about a Pleasant Valley Sunday - or any day! It is such a surprise to see such a well tended old fashioned mini golf course anywhere, nevermind on a busy stretch of commercial Route 73, that you can’t help but want to pull over to Pleasant Valley Miniature Golf and play a round.
Tucked behind a white painted picket fence this family-owned and operated miniature golf oasis has been a tiny putter’s paradise since 1972. Called “The Fun Course” they believe it is miniature golf the way it was meant to be, a place where everyone in the family can have a bit of fun without breaking the bank.
This is a classic course - no fire-breathing dragons or waterfalls here- but instead a wonderful assortment of the obstacles that one thinks of when playing miniature putt. Watch out for the tricky sombrero, or see if you can ring the bell at their version of the Liberty bell.
The shade trees that were planted when the course opened decades ago now provide a leafy respite from the sun, and there are benches scattered throughout in case the group ahead of you is taking their sweet time. Seasonal flowers lend a splash of color from spring to fall and Mod Betty LOVES that the links are enclosed within a low wall constructed with breezeblock, as that is one of her favorite building materials.
Does all this “sporting” have you a bit peckish? Snacks are available at the “Caddy Snacks” window, including homemade water-ice and ice cream.
Mod Betty Says:
Cash only - bring enough for your game, and snacks too
