Retro Roadmap (and Mod Betty) Featured in Treasures Magazine – Oh Boy!

Posted on: July 26, 2011

My mother recently subscribed me to some magazines without letting me know. So I thought that I was just looking through one of her gifts last night, when who should stare back at me from page 10, but ME!

(Thanks to photographer Laura Keen for this fun shot!)

You see, I had forgotten that Treasures “Antique to Modern Collecting” was the new name of Collectors News magazine – who had contacted me a few months back about writing a feature on Retro Roadmap. (You can also see from both of these photos that I obviously am a sucker for a bright striped table cloth!)

My hat goes off to writer Stephanie Finnegan, who took my rambling answers to her questions and collected them into an organize article. We discussed everything from Retro Roadmap to my overgrown collection of vintage souvenirs, snow domes, swizzle sticks, thrift finds, family vacations and whatnot.

But I’m sure most of you regular Retro Roadmap readers know of my love of practically everything cool old and vintage by now 🙂

While the Treasures Magazine website is still under construction I’ll be sure to let you know how to get a copy of the magazine when I find out how.

Treasures Magazine Executive Editor Linda Kruger says if you’re interested in purchasing a copy of the August 2011 issue of Treasures Magazine “until the website is up and just call Brenda Abels at our main office 800-352-8039 ext. 10, with your credit card handy, and she’ll be happy to help you with your order. The magazine is $4.95.

Besides me and my big mug, there are some interesting articles on Little Golden Books, Plastic Horses, Superhero collectibles and more.

And of course, if you want to know about my collections, you can just ask me!
